On the 25th September and 22nd November 2007, Childnet International assisted The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), in holding two national conferences on cyberbullying. The first, which took place at the O2 arena in Greenwich, was hosted for the launch of the new guidance for schools to help them tackle the problems of cyberbullying. The second, held at the Emirates Stadium (Arsenal's football ground) was held in conjunction with Anti-bullying week. Both were also aimed at launching this unique Digizen website.

What better way of incorporating the voice of youth at such events, than to have a presentation in which to get their message across? It was agreed that a drama, written and devised by a group of young people, would be the most pertinent and enjoyable way of illustrating this.

Additionally, part of the Digizen site hosts an area which is aimed at encouraging young people to create their own responses to cyberbullying. A positive introduction and example of this was to record the drama process through documentary film and to capture the casts’ changing attitudes.

After viewing the documentary, we hope that more young people will feel inspired to devise their own projects and submit their work for Childnet to showcase.

We look forward to seeing your work …
