Background
The Public Interest Disclosure (NI) Order 1998 protects external workers who make ‘protected disclosures’ / ‘blow the whistle’ on their employers in certain circumstances. One such circumstance is that disclosures are made to a ‘Prescribed Person’.
NICCY is designated as a Prescribed Person and as such can assist individuals from external organisations who have a disclosure to make on a matter relating to the safeguarding and promotion of the rights and best interests of children and young people.
